Leafing through a random copy of Tresure Hunting magazine last night I came across the Livery button I found at the last DW Rally. Its on Page 67 - February 2011 edition.

Its an exact replica and turns out to be that the motto and crest are for a cadet branch of the Douglas family. The backmark is P&S Firmin 153 Strand & 13 Conduit St, London dating the button between 1839-49.

Does anyone know of any reference books for Livery buttons, as I have a few more I would love to learn more about?

Cheers
Neil
