Well, my week off work has come to an end.... Booooooo Sad

Have spent a fair bit of time out in the fields, especially after getting the sef coil for the T2. I've had a general feeling of disheartenment over the week and had been feeling pretty negative about my land, on top of that I managed to break two spades as well Undecided
So this evening I've taken stock of mine and Mrs Herbie's finds over the week and decided that there not too shabby at all Wink.
Mrs Herbie started the week off with a nice Anglo Saxon dress pin, intact, amazingly and I finished it with a nice little Sceat, series N I think, and in between along with all the usual hedge fodder and inordinate amounts of lead we got a medieval purse bar, Vicky shilling (my first, & super deep too, would have missed if not for the sef), a William love token with a fair bit of detail on it, a small Lizzie, Edward II farthing on an oval flan, Georgian silver cuff-links (one still with stone), a French Jetton, a lovely little apothecary's weight (we think), a bit of Roman glass (maybe Wink), an unidentified silver object, a small lead / pewter figure of a bird.

So all in all not too shabby at all, and as Mrs Herbie keeps telling me we've got some great land that's seen lots of activity over the ages and I should stop whinging!!! Shocked Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Herbie

PS apologies for the poor photo but had to resize it through photobucket, you get the idea though Smiley
