Well after fourteen weeks recovering from my two torn calf muscles, with a hospital stay due to compartmentation (internal bleeding in the leg muscles) and the doctors saying"...Well we don't want you to lose your leg do we ?" Shocked   Shocked   Shocked     3 various sized casts, a boot, a wheelchair and then crutches, I'm going back to work on Monday on light duties. Grin
All that from a game of cricket on the beach with my two lads, unbelievable! Cheesy It was a great catch though! Grin
I've still got masses of physio appointments to go,but I'm getting there thankfully.
This morning the physio had me practicing standing on one leg again,It shocked me how hard that is to do at the moment Shocked.
I won't be able to detect until I've got full strength back in my ankle and until I can fully stretch my calf again, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now at least.I'm hoping I might make a late November, early December rally, fingers crossed!
I would like to thank all of DW members for their kind gestures and support whilst I was injured, you know who you are! Wink
I'm so pleased I joined this site, as DW is far more than just  a forum and I'm proud to be a part of it.I've got to know some really good people on here.I can't wait to get on a rally again to meet up with you all again and without doubt will be attending next years two-dayer.Thanks again to you all  Wink Neil

That's good news Neil and at least you have some light at the end of the tunnel at last, physio can be a pain in the butt but it'll be well worth it in the end. Wink

I look forward to seeing you at a DW rally in the next couple of months. At least with the Deus you won't have to lug heavy equipment when you start back!  Wink

Well Done Neil - Glad you are on the mend mate and also happy that DW has helped a little bit on the road to recovery!

You might still end up playing for the mighty Villa even yet!

See you in a field soon
