I didn't find there was any difference in the performance of the 12 x 10 SEF and the standard coil to warrant
the outlay.

Okay for smaller or bigger SEF.

I am selling mine £110 I hardly used it bought the 18x15 and decided to keep using that instead.
Saying that I did use it on a roman site in winchester and got a hammered coin and my 18x15 was useless due to the soil mineralisation.
