-------------up to now i've only done the iron infested area's  on some pasture field's that i have and i can't wait to get some detecting in on a decent roman or medievil site with this machine.yes i had a gold bug but changed it for a g2 which has a better shaft set up but was'nt impressed with that either so now i have the rutus and i am so  impressed by this machines ability to get in there amongst the iron and produce.hopefully i will be attending the west ashton rally on saturday. What sort of average depth was you getting on finds in the pasture ?

Unfortunately West Ashton is all pasture, its a good area and has only had 3 hours detecting by me and a mate,so should have plenty of finds

-----------average depth i suppose would have to be around about 8"to 10"  would possible get more but  running the sensitivity at 60% at the moment would compare the rutus with the laser hawkeye.but it's early day's.
