Out today up brecon in the glorious sunshine for a few hours and found this lovely silver watch fob at least thats what i think it is  Huh   Wink

hi melonhead cant get a tidy pic on my phone so had a closer look and the markings are an anchor , lion and a 1   and there are three letters opposite which look like HHM and the serial number is Rd 549504 any help will be good mate im useless on hallmarks  Roll Eyes

the anchor means birmingham; the lion means sterling silver i will have to look up the 1 which might be a i is probabley the date mark the HMM is the makers mark

I guess its not a 1 but letter l. In that case the date will be 1910. I think my antique dealing daughter has a book of all the Rd (Registered) numbers, it would date this item to within a few days. Register numbers were used mainly on pottery, also some metal, from about 1890 to about 1930. I'll try to find out the actual date for you.

I'm with Win if it looks like a 1 then it's probably an L for 1910 and you have the letters upside down they are W.H.H for William Hair Haseler of Richmond Street, Birmingham
