found this lovely turkish i think silver coin at the rally today well pleased , no idea on age , im sure pete will suss it out

Nice going mike and I'm glad your getting the hang of the XS,  I think the coin is a 1 Kurush of Abdul Hamit II circa 1901 (Ottoman Turk).

How weird, I found a foreign coin just before going home today at the rally, its a East India Company 1/12 Anna dated 1848. Here is a picture of something similar. My only coin find of the day!

That's different. The size will confirm, as Geoff said, probably a Kurush, but date looks to me like 1910, so would be a coin of Muhammad V.
