Now this is what you call a Roman brooch. I took a few friends onto an interesting field today, and within a few minutes this beauty turns up at an incredible depth. Mine is the small brooch hidden in the shadow of this monster. Shocked

It was on your doorstep, or within a few miles of you, and yes it has produced quite a few goodies over the years.

28 Roman coins came up last week, and another early brooch with a pin, but I put it in my finds pouch and forgot to zip it up, and what do you know it fell out. I guess the guy who lost it wanted it back. Grin

No it was right in the bottom, as I was the one that pulled it out. All we could see was the top 3 terminals facing us. We couldn't work out what it was a first, then it clicked. The hole was 16 inches deep, as I measured it with my spade.

Think I will sell my Etrac and buy a Gold Bug. £799 and it's yours.
