Many congratulations to you!! I'm sure you were speechless when you first saw that in the ground. I can't wait to find anything gold! Go to www.finds.org.uk/contacts and look for the FLO in your area or as close as. And email or phone them and take it from there! Well done once again! Keep this thread updated as to what the outcome is at the end and how old they say it is.

Hi everyone

Just a quick update on my gold ring that I got back from Mark Lodwick this week.

Turns out its not treasure but still dates from aroun the late 18th to early 19th centuries. He says it's probably a wedding band and the markings on the inside are worn makers stamps.

I know its not treasure and not work much, but I'm still delighted. Lol
