The picture is a bit over-bright and the detail is washed out so hard to ID. Any chance of a better pic?

Dave,

Check out Spink 1940:

Henry VI York, Archb. Wm. Booth. Saltires by neck, usually leaf on breast, pellets by crown R.Cross in quatrefoil in centre

Only one I can find with that cross in the quatrefoil.

Could do with better pics, but I think Techony's on the right track. Henry VI looks a good possibilty, but I think could be leaf-pellet issue, York mint from local dies, Spink 1925.

Thanks Peter, I was going mainly by the cross in the quatrefoil on the reverse. I only have the 2009 44th edition of Spink that doesn't mention that particular feature on 1925, Its pretty specific on 1940 though so I wonder if it might even be a mule given the pellet on the obverse?.
