Strange how times change.What was once funny is not any longer. When Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland he included 2 characters, the Walrus and the Carpenter. They walk on the beach 
                          'The Walrus and the Carpenter were walking close at hand
                            They wept like anything to see such quantities of sand
                             ' If this were swept away' they said
                                   'It would be grand'

               Well yes it would, I've often run this little rhyme through my head when beach detecting.
