Nice going both, buckle is 1660-1720 but the key has a little to much flash to get a good enough view of it to tell. Wink

No its not a tap key, if you look at the weave in the denim material the key must be very small, looks more like a casket or cash box type key but agree with the 19thC date.

Or a padlock Undecided
