Not done much research as wouldn`t know where to begin with this unusually shaped item.Found on pasture at a dairy farm today, not sure what metal type(possibly Copper) It weighs 9.9g. There is no damage to it & unfortunatly no distinguishing marks.

Any idea`s of what it might be ? Thanks.

No Mate it`s the same both sides. It has been suggested to me that it could possibly be what cows had in their ear b4 plastic but that doesnt ring true to me as surely it would have a number or name on it like DAISY!

stig your right if it was a cows ear stud it would have a number or at least some remaining colour on it.
though i've never seen one with Daisy on i'll admit  Cheesy
the "break" in the loop at the top doesn't look ,from the photo, as though its been caused by wear which has got me a bit puzzled i have to admit

Stig, did you ask the farmer if he`d ever seen anything like it? Bit of a long shot here, but do you think it may have been hung from something/someones nose?
