I thought the toggle was a handle off an old brass tap but looking at the size in relation to the coins it looks too small. Huh

nice days work altinkum . i've just had a look at "buckles 1250-1800 by R.Whitehead" and the buckle you found looks identical to the photograph of No.77 page21, "cast copper alloysingle loop oval buckle with ornate edges c1250-1400"
as for the "tap bar" could it possibly be a clothes toggle? is there a loop to the rear? all the same well done mate. Wink
