But how are you with the old water to wine thing? only asking because I could bring a bowser to the next rally Cheesy

Unfortunately, like most of us, I can only perform the miracle in the opposite direction  Wink

Very nice finds everybody! For me though, the find of the day would be the Denari, that is top of my wishlist.

Thanks for organising a good days detecting opportunity. I only found a brass key and a small spindle whorl, but the weather was kind as was the company.

Well, it was my first rally and I enjoyed it very much. The cows were very pleasant.. Wink

As I dug in the second field my Dad (Bob Lock) and I ventured to, I came across an interesting signal amongst all the ointment tube ones.. I dug, and then, I found what looked to be a grenade! So, cautiously I dug around it, gently removing it hoping and praying I would not blow myself up! And, it turned out to be a Victorian looking bronze tap! hahahaha! Well, better than a grenade, or ointment tubes! ;-o

I enjoyed the day very much and was blessed to see the Silver Roman coin and other coins at the end..

Best wishes, see you again...God Bless..
Steve

Very nice tap Steve. Unusual form, maybe from a farm water butt. Given the large brass buckle and iron wedges, it looks like there was a lot of tree clearing going on in the area.

Glad to see the DW spirit is still thriving. smiles and banter as well as some very interesting finds. been laid low with ill health for a while now but am itching to get back to meet all the gang again soon.
until then i'll content myself looking at the finds you lot are pulling out of the ground.
see you all soon i hope
