I am in the start of my annual three weeks off work at the moment, so following a few house jobs I popped out with long standing DW member and good mate of mine Mark to a stubble field for three hours.

It wasn't our best day out, but after our first farm failed due to a herd of bulls on the loose, it was good to end up somewhere!

We each had a smattering of copper coinage from George III to Vicky and then Mark made the find of the day in the shape of a William III sixpence.

I am sure there are lots of finds there, but the farmer has unfortunately been dupped into buying compost full of door handles, aluminium. etc/ One piece even had an IKEA stamp on it!  Grin It makes it really hard work and is a tad soul destroying!

Anyway 18 days holiday left, with three detecting dates booked to date. If any of the usual suspects are out - give me a PM if you want company.

See you all on Saturday
Cheers
Neil

That so called "fertilizer" is unfortunately becoming ubiquitous, as many of the farms I go to have started using it, making once productive fields a nightmare to detect on.  Yea shame about the other fields, next time maybe  Smiley

Well done you two. This "Green waste" is becoming a greater problem year on year, although touch wood I haven't had too much contact with it over here other than one or two farms, It's main constituents seem to be chip board (which has huge quantity of glue in) aluminium and copper alloys, so where in gods name is the "Green" bit.
