Looks like a great day and well done Bob on a four silver day. Reminds me of the best site I ever detected which was also a building site.

Yes, I enrolled on line with the cardiff scan club - they rejected me LOL !   Shall have to try and come to a meeting, bring my son, Rob - he is really getting into it now and found a hammered and a few musket balls a few days ago.

Just so green !! look at all what was found -    would have loved to have been there !!

Good day, good company.

Met some new mates and plenty of friendly horses, watching some of the members trying to dig holes while being nibbled by horses was hilarious! Even saw neil trying to not look like he was milking a horse!

Didnt get any hammered but found some interesting buckles and buttons.

Sorry Heather, it was me that sent you the rejection from the Scan Club forum. The forum was open to all at one stage, but due to non-members and ex-members stirring up trouble, a decision was made that it should be for paid-up club members only. Please come to a meeting and you will see that we're a friendly bunch and always willing to help and encourage new members.

Yes, I had a good day with some nice silver. I had to leave at 2pm, as well, otherwise I'd have stayed longer.

I'm still hoping for my first gold coin. I was really pleased with the cut half as it was really deep, about 8", with
no VDI number - just audio.  (Large coil on 18khz)

The thimble was an eyes only find on top of a spoil heap. A Minelab owner would have had that if I hadn't have
picked it up !!!!  Grin Grin Grin

It's the second Wed of every month at 7.30pm, Social Club, Cathays Terrace, Cardiff.

You will have to fill in a comprehensive application form and be vetted by the committee. It's a top club
and joining isn't automatic.  Cry

Good Luck!  Wink
