I headed to my local beach today after work having been inspired by "The Girls" finds and just now by "Goldie Looking Chain"! No gold for me but a few finds in amongst the multitude of bottle tops and ring pulls!

The first decentish find was halfpenny of George V dated 1928 and a few feet away a religious medallion to do with a childrens charity - which I really like. These came from the small area of the beach I always concentrate on, that normally rewards me with a pre decimal silver coin - alas it was not to be tonight as the tide was licking at my heels.

My only other find of note was a trowel - that I was sure was going to have a detectorist attached to it!

Time for a glass of wine.

Neil

45p spending money. You can buy a paper in the morning and find out if Cardiff have signed Malky Mackay!  Grin

I'm just thankful we didn't get Shearer. I believe the board were insistent on trying to get Bellamy back and Shearer and Bellamy hate each other. Funny old World!

I'd never heard of Mackay until it hit the news a good week ago that Cardiff were interested. He hasn't much
experience so I don't know  who(Lenny Lawrence?) advised the board to go for him!

Personally I'd have employed Chris Hughton. He was available, wanted the job, and had the experience and stood up to bully boy Mike Ashley who fired him as he wanted his mate Alan Pardew who would do as he was told and work for a low wage and get a bonus for achievements.

Many think we shpuld have kept Dave Jones but I heard he'd lost the dressing room and one or two players were refusing to ever play for him again.

Like you, I've mixed feelings. I've got my season ticket so I've just got to stick it out !!!  Cry

Found this in etsy religeous medals shop, but they just say its old, no details of actual age.

Its a membership medal for the childrens league of peace and goodwill, bit like the league of nations junior branch.
