Byron I asked them not to publish the farm name, although it is read out in court.

I always had a feeling it had a bit of age to it.

Nice one Neil , was just wondering if there would have been enammeling in it at one point? It is a nice feeling that when you are long gone you will be part of the history as the finder.

You'd think that if an object was declared treasure trove the court would have more sense than to read out the location of the find.

I remember a post quite recently on another forum where  local journalists attended an inquest and the next day an article appeared in the press giving the name of the farmer and his farm where the find was made. If this isn't inviting a visit from nighthawks I don't know what is. Silly people!! Sad

bet you are really proud Neil, that is a lovely ring m8, and the age of it great condition as well, slitly of the subject if you sell it perhaps you could buy a top striker for Cardiff m8 ha ha only joking Neil.well done again m8 pleased for you .
