got invited to a site with 2 good members from here and they welcomed me on a hard but worthwhile site in gloustershire. we had a tidy days detecting with an array of finds that gave me my first spindal whirl and a broach i will wait to get id'd before i accept it's age fully.
a saxon strap end was also found a couple of roman coins but this has been worked  a few times this site but  ''you never know what lies below''
they gave me the opertunity to detect on a site i would never have been able to without thier invite .They truely are great to know and i am glad that we had this day out .i can look forward
to another invite just for the day out never mind the detecting we had a laugh about a few things.
we tested the explorers but we really could not draw much of a conclusion at all as we were to busy to do much of a test ...so we will leave that for a different day
