Hi All

Im considering the possibility of purchasing a DD coil for my Ace 250, primarily to improve the machines performace on wet sand (although I have had some decent finds in this environment, I do encounter increased "falsing"). The advertisments I have seen for this product claim that it "...significantly reduces the negative effects of heavily mineralized ground and saltwater interference." Would be gratful if someone could share their experiences of using this coil on wet sand.

Many thanks

i have one on my euro ace and it only works on very low sensitivity (3 bars on my machine) anything more it is falsing terribly. i would not recomend it for wet sand

Doesn't the Ace250 come with the DD coil as standard?

It has fixed ground balance so it will be difficult to stop the falsing whatever coil is used. Even reducing
sensitivity will only help a little on wet sand.
