Secretary Wanted - Cardiff SCAN Club 2011

Cardiff SCAN Club 2011 are currently seeking a person to fill the role of Club Secretary for the next year.

I have taken the role of Press Officer for Cardiff SCAN 2011 and thought it would be a good idea to advertise the post on here.

The role of Secretary can be as basic or as demanding as the person wants to make it. It basically involves recording the meetings and a few other small admin jobs. In return the Secretary will receive:

1} Access to a metal detector loaned by Cardiff Scan 2011 for the duration they are in post.
2} FREE Annual Membership, Insurance & access to Club Land.
3} FREE access to all Cardiff Scan 2011 Rallies.
4} The ability to add to their CV that they have been the Secretary of a medium sized club.
5} Becoming an important part of one of the UK's oldest Metal Detecting Clubs.

It would be great if it was someone already at the club, but it doesn't have to be.

Think of any of your family or friends who this may appeal to. I think it might ideally suit a retired person who wants a hobby or interest (with no worries about paying for a machine or getting land to search}. An ideal way for someone to get into metal detecting.
