Some of the finds taken from fields where my friends have alottments.The little white thing in the middle is a dust cap off an MG P8.

The bottle came from the bottom of the alottments which back onto a wood.Over the years the cottages at the top of the alottments have dumped thier household rubbish there.The place is full of shards of 18th/19th century pottery and glass.

there's some nice things in that selection merlin...well found....i fancy doing some allotments where i used to live as a kid...this has spurred me on to trying for permission... Smiley....byron

hi there merlin looks asif there is a old ash tip there mate i do some bottle diging myself they are common on alottments very intrested mate hard to find a good ash tip regards (phil)

my father is still  a keen gardener @ 70 he's getting fed up with digging he said he's going to berry some old coins in his allotment and get the detectorists to dig it for free.

yeah,  they used to do that years ago,  could be more nice pickings there mate,  well done,  iv'e found one or two nice bottles myself that way,  good places to come across,
 bad background here, but the centre one is a Thomas and Evans Porth bottle from just up the road, each side  of it is medicine bottles the one on the right is a Zubes Bottle, the one on the left an old ink bottle
