Edward Fletchers Leaden Tokens and Tallies shows a similar reverse to a token on page 44 and gives it a Tudor date. Hope this is a start for you Mick.

Nice find. 16th to 17th century I believe. Here are a couple with portcullis designs but with a design on the reverse also:
