Well done Ray, It was a privilege to be there too see it, I felt like a proud father at the birth  Grin
As Debbie says, just like your Hammy barrier last year, now that you have got your first they will turn up by the dozen.
My "in the field" hammy id I think may be wrong and it may be better than I thought, have you checked it in Spink?
It could be a touch of "Jammy Coburn" strikes again Grin

Well done Ray!!!

Ahhh yes at last he has the monkey off his back. My initial  happiness for Ray though was very quickly replaced by an unseen void - a hollow feeling of nothingness, as if someone had gently carved away a small chunk of my heart at first I thought it may be wind but it soon dawned on me what it was......... how was i going to wind Ray up anymore ?  He'd found his Roman!!!  His once Achiles heel was now adourned and protected with a hefty pair of 'stamp on your neck Doc Martin Boots'.

Ahhh but wait,  with a deft slight of hand and without missing a heart beat we can now move chefs ex spinal hugging primate and firmly attach it to Ray.......

Now Roman 'No Scroats'  Ray  you have to find a Crotal Bell  Cheesy .

I think it helped him when I sent him a PM last night and threatened to "shoot him and have a rug made out of him" if he didn't find a Roman coin today. Oh well I guess I'll have to just buy one now.

Just reading your post mate, I could feel the excitement coming out from it! Pleased for you. Know how you feel as I got my first hammered last week and lo and behold, the second at the weekend. Still got to get my first Roman. Difficult ask here is Scotland but who knows. Hope your first Roman turns into a torrent!  Grin Grin Grin
