OK it's result time  Wink
Thanks to all who took part,  I take my hat of to our very own Chef Geoff 417 full hammereds over 25 years well done Geoff.
The closest was tyna with a guess of 400.  Wink Well done tyna I will bring the prize to the next rally on the 9th of April.

Handyman, thanks for the vote of confidence in your guess and WBM and Roman Ray I'll talk to you two later Cheesy

It may seem a lot to some people who are relatively knew to the hobby, but actually if you take out one very good year or site I had it only equates to 1 coin a month. I know of other detectorists who think nothing of finding 50-100 per year.
And there are no great secrets or expertise, other than getting out there and covering the ground. The more land you cover the better chances you have of finding that magic site. Good hunting

well done to the compo winner,i guessed 450 ,i took my average per year and x it by 25,as i know geoff gets out maybe more than me Grin,,,,but then again 450 hammies over 25 years for me,no that cant be right  Huh back to the drawing board Grin Grin Grin.
