went out in the week for half hour after work ,came up with this ...looked bin job till i started cleaning it........roman stuff has come up in this area before ...any ideas on age and what the use could of been any suggestions welcome as im stumped

It look like it may have been decorated in some type of Roman design. Is it maybe some type of Iron belt mount / fitment
