2 Cairns found? Advice

Whilsty out metal detecting last night in a farmers field not far from me i came across 2 round Cairn's and a proposed roman road going straight through them.
I dont think any of them have been touched and i did get a few bleeps over them but out of respect did not dig.
do i just leave them be or who should i contact about them.
iv been to my local museam in the past and they didnt seem to know about these thing's.
iv past this field hunfreds of times through out the years and its mad to think i was yards from them.
i didnt have my camera handy to take photo's but will soon.
perhaps there could be something which could rewrite history in the town

These cairns are quite common and I've a few on some of my land that I don't think the archaeologists
know about.

Normally they tend to be on 'higher' ground.

im living in merthyr tydfil.
im a big fan of the past and settlement's and a lot of cairn's are on ordance surveyor maps but these two aint.
just wondered who are the closest people to report these two

What size are they Bassman and what do you mean by "Cairn"?
A cairn is made of stone and has been used throughout history some of which are relatively modern, or do you mean a barrow or tumulus which is a burial mound, either of these later types would have very little to do with any nearby Roman road as the two periods are over 1000 years apart.
There are many lumps and bumps around the landscape which resemble burial mounds but are in fact cairns of stones gathered over centuries in field clearing.
Also another feature which can resemble a barrow is a windmill mound. The ordnance survey will have some record of it regardless of it's use.
