Escaped for an hour. Grin this morning
Had to try this new field, between 2 small villages, next to a graveyard, school and small stream -good potential Smiley Smiley

Found this, I think it's an Irish minted James the first sixpence 1603-04

Pleased with it Cool Cool

Can't wait to go back, think I'll put the SEF coil on

Paul,

It's not always like that- went out on Sunday for 4 hours ( One hour talking to the farmer)- new land 320 acres- never detected - next to Offas dyke path - only found 1 copper , 2 buckles  a badge and odd bits of implements - still go back - might find something Huh Huh Huh

Nice one Phil nothing like the big hammered to get the heart racing!
(never see a farmer on a bike, or a dead donkey) the farmer down the road from me rides a bike just to disprove that saying, he is an awkward cuss, bet he keeps a dead donkey somewhere too!

Sorry Aide, didn't know you were off today

Only learnt of this field , last night at 9. Couldn't wait to survey the land, so popped there for only an hour-lucky I did, found it within 15 mins - size of a 10p piece - still couldn't see it. Cool Cool Cool Not many parts working now!

Found 2coppers (one extremely large- larger but thinner than a cartwheel), 2 buckles and 2 buttons

See you soon
