Ok heres a question to pose everyone. Have a good think about it before answering.

Lets say you visit the same 100 acre plot of land and do an average of 8 hours detecting each visit. How many visits would you say it would take you before you can honestly say that 100 acres is done dead ?

I worked this out once......It works out to be thirteen months if you detect 40 hours a week, so that works out at about 400 visits to grid every inch. But if they plough any of it then you have got to start again....oh and that doesn't include digging Shocked

So that works out to be - 40 hours * 52 weeks = 2080 hrs / 8 = 260 visits

If you go detecting once a week that makes 260 weeks which is 5 years   Shocked

Certainly longer than I have in my life, even the most detected site still produces the odd "missed" find be it a good or a 'bad' find. In my case it would be forever anyway as I don't get to go out enough!
