went out detecting with Roman Ray yesterday on the biggest mountain in the world....after i got over my heart attack climbing it, managed a silver brooch, a half crown 1942, a very disintergrated vicky threepence and a couple of coppers.

heres the silvers....

just a six-punce.1921,just missed out on being full silver.i think things are coming to an end on gilfach mountain its there but you have to work hard for it now!!!

nobby the wanderer..i found out today (winifred) was a womens name believe it or not...my mother new a woman called winifred..wini for short..lol.
roman steve could be right about it being on a bottle because it was thin and bendy.i dont think it was strong enough for a brooch is what im saying rob..
but i could be wrong..useually i am.lol

ye its your typical hinged clasp brooch...bit like a safty pin...only long sharp pointy bit is missing....does look like silver bottle tag though....i wonder what a glass of winnifred would have tasted like Grin
