Steve I bought an E trac a couple of months ago, If you can use the dfx you will definately like the e trac , piece of cake to use , and far more stable than the dfx.

Steve I have and use both ( I prefer the SE pro, but couldn't tell you why). I have depth tested both machines and in neutral soil there is no difference whatsoever, but on sites with average to above mineralisation this is where the Etrac wins hands down as you can still run it hot and it won't punish you, plus it does have more user options.
So if buying new I would say pay the extra £200 and get an Etrac, but if second hand then the price gap widens and I couldn't justify the £300-£400 difference and would buy a used SE pro

Steve i have to agree with Geoff i used the gt and moved on to the SE pro. compair the features of the two and ask yourself what you realy need.

I'm afraid that is an urban myth, the SE with the Pro coil is lighter than the Etrac.
