There's talk on one of the other forums of a big Treasure find today in NE England - two pots of silver Roman coins. Haven't seen any pictures yet.

Lots of hoards being found. It seems the stuff is still there if you do the work. Good luck to the finder!

smashing videos of a fantastic find ,, im detecting very close to a known roman fort next week on land that the farmer hasnt offered permission to anyone before,, maybe i should take a video cam,,,, Grin Grin Grin Grin

Every detectorists dream of finding a hoard. It will be interesting to see who claims ownership of the pot ?

Not being too much of a kill joy, they really should have contacted the local flo officer for them to take over and dig and record retrieval, its something that in reality is very hard to do.
