I found something simillar a few years ago and it was silver plated at one point, but I like yourself, have no idea.  I would be interested to find out though

i was watching a thing on sky ealier about the tower of  london they where showing old cannons and one of the projectiles looked like that   but i might be wrong

Looks large for an arrow, what about a crossbow Bolt head? similar but sometimes bigger
