I had a great day on the Anton rally yesterday, finds were over a long time span, I had buttons, thimbles, tokens, William love token, couple of Roman grots, a Elizabeth 1st Penny, and a very nice Roman Geta silver Denarius, also a nice artefact any info on this would be great also the spinks number of the Lizzy.
Many Thanks
Geoff

If you look Geoff it says Spink 2558 has three bust varieties, with the coin in hand do you think the mm is Cross Crosslet?

Sorry Geoff Cross Crosslet is the mintmark, I was trying to work out what it was to give you a Spink number but its hard to see on the photo, I found this pic and think its your coin iv circled the mm so you can see the Cross Crosslet Wink

I see what you mean now, yes it is on the bust (mint mark 21 is that right ? ) but unclear on the reverse.

Nice going Geoff you don't see that many coins of Caracalla considering the vast number of varieties that were minted, a thoroughly horrible individual of the worst kind clever, ruthless and as mad as a box of frogs  Grin
I can't make my mind up on the artefact Huh the direction of the hole give the impression that it's part of harness pendant but it looks a little strap end"ish"......I shall keep searching Wink
