First rate once again Paul I cant get over just how many you get still with a complete pin 98% of mine are broken which explains their loss but the people over your way were either useless at getting dressed or there was a lot of bodice ripping going on  Grin
Mackreth says that your plate brooch is, other than one found in Hampshire, confined to the South West, two were excavated at Nettleton and were amongst both 1st and 2nd century pottery so while 2nd probably in the first quarter, the other complete brooch is a Hattatt 28 T brooch so around the same 1st/2nd period a bit earlier than headstud brooches Wink
Thanks Geoff, I think useless at getting dressed, probably never had carers to help them Cheesy thanks for your comments and yes you are spot on with the T shape brooch, the strange thing is I have one from a previous find so I should have known that, still as you point out once again it has the pin, I have had my fair share of pin less but happy to find them with it intact as I am sure you would be....Cheers..  Spikey Wink
