Hello all,

Found this earlier this week, very heavily clipped but I think it's a Charles (1 or 2 ?)

Very debased as I tried giving it a bit of a wipe with foil and nothing much happened.

As usual, apologies for the pics, I'm in work and using my phone.

My Mrs found Lizzie Shilling last week. It was so clipped it took a while before the penny dropped and we realised it was a Lizzie Shilling  Roll Eyes

I've had 3 charles shillings and they are all clipped, this one is by far the worse though. Makes you wonder at what point would they stopped being accepted as a shilling? Or maybe when clipped they counted as a lower value coin?
