dug this recently tests as silver looks a bit like a dress pin?

its an earring , prob silver.I had some virtually identical but i had garnets in mine.long bit goes through the ear and then long bit is hooked into the circular fixment behind the semi precious stone.Its a little bent but you can still see how it would have hung from the ear.

I wonder if its a Post Reformation Hat or Cloak pin with a rock crystal stone in centre..A object of the underground Catholic Church in mid 16th century..?
