Paul from South Wales. Wrong side of 40 unfortunately. Been detecting for around 22 years. My current detector is an Etrac which I have been using for three years and am happy with.
Look forward to contributing to the forum as well as learning a thing or two from members here.

Thanks for the welcome. Been visiting forum for a while and thought I would take plunge and jump in.

Yep Matthew, started beach detecting last summer at Saundersfoot. First time I tried beach detecting and wasn't sure I would take to it but it was great and can't wait to get back at it from April (when caravan site opens again). Gonna do a bit of research this year and look for a few beaches that might not be so hunted. Saundersfoot turned up a lot of coinage but not much else last year.
