Hi, I was out with DaMonkey yesterday and we thought we would go and visit a farm near Pembridge. We chose an iron infested pasture field that we been round many times before with several different machines.  It was going to be a bit of a tester for our new Deus machines.

Well considering we had thought that we had emptied the field previously, we managed to find at least a dozen coins in 1 hour, all coppers, exept this silver plated forgery.

Strangly enough DaMonkey had a George III forgery shilling from the same field on our last trip. I the coin I found looks like a George III but is much bigger than the shilling, measuring in at 31mm across. Considering the time its been in the soil it's not in that bad condition.

It's alway nice to find something intersting (or shiney).

Dave

Interesting find - it was meant to be a halfcrown.
