Hi Guys
Just been out today on my new permission for the first time 25 fields over 400 acres Smiley. so I thought Id google a bit of it and give it a try today on one of them. Heres The cream of the crop so far, Im sure there's a roman coin too Grin

Well done Ferret, an encouraging start to your new land. Yes I would say that was a 3rdC Roman grot and where you find one there are usually more lurking Wink

Hi mate you never cease to amaze me on how you can tell. Yeps looking good atm I found it in the same feild as that nice buckle

Well without the handle you can't tell as that's the tail, but I would probably say no and mark it down as just a pewter spoon from the 18th-19thC.
