Hoard Of Viking Silver Coins Found

A metal detectorist uncovered a Viking hoard of silver coins and artefact's in the Cumbrian countryside.

The collection, which has been provisionally valued at tens of thousands of pounds, was found in an undisclosed site in Furness.

It is being examined by experts at the British Museum and is expected to be declared as treasure.

Mmm - the sort of things dreams are made of. Going by other "Viking Hoards", I bet its made up of a cross section of coinage from the UK, Scandanavia, Germany, France, Italy and Africa. Those Vikings got about a bit!
