Now it is getting rediculous, I've been trying to get a 100w light bulb for the hall & can't get one anywhere!
Apparently they are not being made anymore & we will be forced into using "Energy Efficient" light bulbs!

Well, I pay my energy bill & I choose to use as much as I like therefor I want a 100w bulb, infact I want loads of them!

First Concorde now Lightbulbs, we appear to be going back in time not forward.

I notice that all the big superstores, Petrol Filling Stations, Malls etc etc are fully iluminated over night so why not turn those lights off as I'm sure they must be more than 100w!

What's going on

Try the energy savers you will soon get used to them, all the stocks were bought up by newspapers I think so that their customers could get the last of them.
I think Jeb still uses candles (even lights them sometimes apparently!) ,could give him a shout and see if they make 100 watters. Grin

Kris i know what you mean !

Half and full flush toilets  Huh its not like we live in the Sahara Desert Last year we had more wet days than dry plenty of water enough to flush a toilet im sure!

Combi boilers  Huh the Powers that be wanted us to change to combination boilers because they are cheaper to run then they put up the price of gas till not many people can afford to use um
I feel sorry for People with the old type of boilers Id be afraid to turn it on.

Fight the power ! lol

i read 2 weeks ago that the govenment want all the 100 watt bulbs taken off the shelves and no more made,   i have got a couple but meant to get some more in,
its another one of those euro laws too,
don't these new green one just take ages to warm up,   not like the old days when you flick a switch and you have instant full light,

Hi Alan

I havnt read this in the paper If i see some i,ll pick some up for the furure, i could make a killing on ebay lol Grin
New type energy bulbs are a lot better then the old ones but they still take a couple of seconds to warm up

We are going backwards i dont think its a bad thing, but lighting is a basic need i wouldnt like to be in the dark with some of the nutters that are around !

I think you should be able to get a car licence till your 21 then maybe the road would be a safer place to be (Motorcyclist) .

A little corner shop by me has got loads of 100w bulbs, we fitted low energy bulbs right through the house a while ago mainly because my mother was given about 20 from various suppliers and she gave them to me. Arn't mothers lovely? lol.

If anybody in the Pontypridd area still wanting  100 watt bulbs they have some at a stall half way down the market ,   27th- 01 -09.  they are 3 for £1,

I went there this morning to get some 60 watt bulbs before they go,  then noticed they've had some 100 watt bulbs in so i stocked up,

i have 3 dimmer switches in the house and the new bulbs are no good with dimmers.  or maybe the more expensive round looking ones are, which are about £2,50 - £3.50 each,

I'll have to change the dimmer switches back to normal ones one day doh,

Alan

Correct me if i am wrong but have they not found that the energy efficient bulbs when expired have a problem with them being somehow extremely toxic for a period of time. I may be wrong but there was something on the radio about it on the weekend which the government are avoiding.  Huh
