Has anyone ever used the Excellerator E coil for the Explorer II?

When I bought my machine second hand it came with it, along with the other really small Minelab coil pictured below. Anybody ever used either of them? If so in what conditions and were they any good?

The excellerator coil is about the size of my hand - I've put a Edward penny next to it for scale.

Just a thought - I fancy a change to my normal set up this year.

I had the excelerator coil on my ex11 but it was bigger than that. They were ok to as i remember, not as good as a sef but still more stable/sensitive than the stock coil bit lighter also

hi Neil, i have two (dont ask) 5"   Exellerator coils, one says E one says S, the e is slightly lighter plastic construction, the S is glass fiber, both are small DD coils and both work very well for trashy area's, i got 8" depth no problem on the quattro, though the depth guage would lie with this coil on, havent used it on the E-trac, i have the 800FBS that is an awsome little coil, tends to be that or the pro coil nowadays, i need to flog some of my spares Roll Eyes Wink
