Had a 3hr outing this morning and did quiet well, what I think is an eddy 1 hammy, a bronze thing with a galleon on one side and something else on the other, a thing with feet on the top and an odd screw  thread underneath and its nearly 2 inches across a silver love token (possibly) and other bits and a shed load of lead. Will be going there again shortly.

Well done Waggis, some very nice finds, wondering if the coin with the galleon depicted could possibly be a Spanish doubloon....looks like you got some very interesting land underfoot.
Wishing you continued success.....good hunting..👍

Hi wagis, is there evidence of a hole on the edge of the ? Coin, appro 6 o'clock of picture? To me it likes like some sort of seal say from a ring bezel....especially as it's so deeply carved.  Wink had something similar a long time ago...

Yes there is a tiny hole at twelve o clock  and a tiny hole at six o clock, It looks like a spanish galleon on one side and I believe the face on the other side could be Vasco Nunez de balboa a Spanish conquistador and explorer. What is a ring bezel seal?

It was a seal set into a ring where a stone might have been.  Some of them rotated. Nice find.

Do you think the other thingy with the screw base may have been a terret ring.

Yep defiantly a ring bezel, that rotated.....nice find. The other thing does look like it has a thread? I'm am I seeing 2 feet broken off, in which case the legs and top half is missing....  Undecided Wink
