Managed a quick hour and was wondering if anyone can date the spoon , was part of a very nice set at one time i would imagine

And does anyone know what the other item is ? is it a walking stick end ?

Soon after, John Wright of Birmingham, England discovered that potassium cyanide was a suitable electrolyte for gold and silver electroplating. Wright's associates, George Elkington and Henry Elkington were awarded the first patents for electroplating in 1840. These two then founded the electroplating industry in Birmingham from where it spread around the world. The Woolrich Electrical Generator of 1844, now in Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, is the earliest electrical generator used in an industrial process.[11] It was used by Elkingtons.[12][13][14]

So any time after the above.. F M would have been the maker and E P is Electro Plating. My guess would be 1940's on.

Not a clue about the other thingy with the stars. Maybe a strap end. Undecided

Well done David, all you got to do now is get back out there and find the rest of the "canteen"and there you have it,posh knives forks & spoons for your Christmas dinner!!

My guess on the other item would be a lipstick tube, the stars are or was a common pattern Wink
