found by a colleague of mine at end of last year [2008].

I had missed it by 2 metres!!

naturally he was delighted, i was gutted.

hi guys n gals

they were both found on recently ploughed land.

i have yet to detect in wales, but hope to this w/e - trying out beach detecting for the 1st time...... if it ever stops blwddy raining.

the brooch was only just below the recently ploughed surface, no more than an inch down. mrs handyman was diggin up a commodus dupondus at the same time.

hope to see u all on the next rally.
