There's quite a bit of talk about a new Deus coil on another forum, they are saying that a multi- frequency  coil is due this year. Anyone on here with any news or comments ??

They're all multi frequency-coils ie you can use the same coil for different frequencies, as opposed to the Xterra where you change the coil depending on the frequency. The Deus is a single frequency machine Wink

Depends on how you read the instructions Geoff.  With the V3.2 you have the choice of 8, 12 or 18 Kh

I quite well understand that, but the word is that they are developing a coil that will use all the frequencies simultaneously,, similar to FBS.

Now that would be an innovation and very welcome but surely they would have to re-write the software as well.

Aint technology a bug bear.   As soon as you buy it,  it's out of date.   Still I s'pose I could sell my 11" coil  Undecided

Certainly one for Nigel this, I'm no expert by any means but as far as I'm aware it would take far more than a software upgrade to make it FBS that would be a bit like painting a mini bright red and calling it a Ferrari Cheesy The coil is the least of it as FBS is a type of cross between VLF and Pi technology and the power requirements would be greater not to mention the EMI using wireless across multi sampled frequencies a nightmare! But stranger things have happened so we shall wait and see Wink
