hi all, made it out a few times earlier in the week, had some interesting bits. all from fields i've quickly been over before, but never really spent any great deal of time in them. needless to say, i will be taking my time in them from now on!

can anyone shed any light on the buckles? age etc? Also, can't believe my luck, but i think i have another Roman silver. can anyone I.D. it for me please?

Last but not least, finally got my first readable hammered since February. Elizabeth half groat, woolpack mint mark, London mint.

It's a denarius of Domitian - the reverse starts with IMP XXII - dating it to after 92AD - rest of the legend will be COS XVII CENS P P P - it has Minerva at the person on the reverse - there are many different varieties.

Great selection of finds Sharkey and some unusual coins.  The buckles are broadly 1660 - 1720 and in good condition. Well found.
