looks like a modern button to me, although it is sort of copying the 'urbs Roma' siliqua type, also seen as the Romae Aeternae' of earlier emperors.

Spot on - its actually an oldish pin badge.... Unbeknownst to myself until I'd run a good 1/4 mile across a farm to show Neil with my T shirt over my head.  Roll Eyes

I remember how excited I was when I found my first Roman, about 3 years ago, but that's nothing compared to how excited I was when I found my first hammered!
